April 2022 Month of the Military Child

USO Colorado had such a fun time celebrating Month of the Military Child this year! During April, we hosted 12 events to honor, support and spoil our amazing local military kids. We partnered with the Denver Nuggets for a kids basketball clinic, supported 3 Easter events, put on a MOMC Edition of Kids in the Kitchen with participants from Buckley, Schriever, Peterson and FE Warren took part in the virtual cook-along where we made spring themed treats. We passed out Backyard Adventure Kits to get our military kids outside and hosted a Jump Party at the trampoline park in Cheyenne. Our April Teddy Bear Club event was held at the Build-A-Bear workshop in Colorado Springs where kids made memories with a parent while making a stuffed friend. We also supported multiple community events such as Purple Up at USAFA and the Trevor Romain Kids event for kids of Special Forces on Fort Carson with fun photo booths for the kids to show off their individuality! We love our #USOMilKids!
