USO Denver's Egg-Citing Easter Event

The Easter holiday arrived this year as social distancing continues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving Easter Egg hunts cancelled and traveling for family gatherings out of the question for our military community. That’s where USO Denver’s Egg-Citing Easter Event comes in. Through this program, thirty military families across six states received an at home egg hunt kit with pre-filled camouflage eggs so they could create a special Easter holiday experience for their kids. That’s not all… the Easter Bunny hosted a live storytime through a video conference with over 70 families! (If you missed storytime, you can still watch the recording.)

All of the families who participated were asked to capture and share their memories with us so we could tie them all together in a video to show how everyone participated together while apart:

It’s clear that the USO’s mission of connection doesn’t end with social distancing, in fact, that mission becomes even more important for our military service members and their families. We’re still here, by their side through innovative, virtual programming no matter the distance.
